Suwanee, GA - The Cougars defeated the host Longhorns for their first win of the season. The first quarter was eventful for Chattahoochee, as Timmy Byerly found Will Johnson for a 25-yard touchdown. With less than a minute remaining in the quarter, Byerly ran in for a 5-yard score, and Hunter Thomas recovered a fumble and took it 25 yards for a touchdown just 43 seconds later. Right before halftime, Byerly tossed a 36-yard touchdown to Thomas and in the fourth, Ammon Lakip added a 45-yard field goal. Lambert broke into the scoring column with a late TD pass from David Broadus to TJ Russell. |
