Coach Wendy Lundgren Director-Lambert High School Cheerleading Program Head Coach- Varsity Football Sideline
Coach Lundgren brings her previous sideline cheerleading experience and endless positive energy to the Longhorn Cheerleading program. She was Senior co-captain of her own Varsity Football Cheerleading squad, as well as Homecoming Queen, Senior Superlative, and Senior Representative of her Atlanta area high school.
Coach Lundgren is a graduate of The University of Georgia where she was a leader on campus and Rush Chairman of her sorority. She received her B.Ed in English and her M.Ed in Special Education with a concentration in Visual Impairment and Blindness. Along with her coaching duties, Coach Lundgren is a teacher in the Department of Exceptional Students here at Lambert and has been teaching for 8 years. She and her husband, Dr. Neale Lundgren, reside in Cumming with their three children, Emily, Walker, and Grayson. We are very fortunate to have such a natural leader and well respected member of our community at the helm of our sideline program.
Coach Shelley Ray Head Coach- Varsity Football Sideline/Competition
Shelley Ray spent the past eight years as the head competitive cheerleading coach at South Forsyth High School. During her eight seasons at the helm, the South Forsyth cheerleading program won two state championships, finished as the state runner-up twice, and earned one region championship Coach Ray's teams also placed in the top five at the state competition another three times, including a third place finish in 2008. She was named by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association as Region 7AAA Coach of the year in 2002. In addition to her competitive cheerleading duties at South Forsyth, Coach Ray also served as head coach of the football cheerleading squad for the 2001-2006 and the 2008 seasons. Coach Ray's teams have produced three SEC football/competition cheerleaders.
Coach Ray is a 2000 graduate of North Georgia College and State University where she received a B.S. in Physical Education as well as M.Ed. in Physical Education in 2005. Along with her coaching duties, Coach Ray is a teacher in the Health and Physical Education Department at Lambert High School.Coach Ray and her husband, Vince, reside in Cumming with their children, VJ and Landry. We look forward to Coach Ray leading the Longhorns into a great tradition of excellence!
Coach Holly Anne Terry Head Coach- Junior Varsity Football Sideline
Coach Terry has been coaching cheerleading for the past nine years. We are very fortunate that she has decided to make the move from South High School to join our Coaching Staff here at Lambert. Coach Terry began her teaching career in Fort Wayne, Indiana after graduation from Indiana University, Bloomington. After making the big move to Georgia, Holly taught at Norcross High School, where she began her coaching career. In addition to her coaching duties, Coach Terry will be teaching English here at Lambert. She lives in Dunwoody with her husband, Matthew. Coach Amber Adams Assistant Coach-Varsity Sideline/Competition
Coach Adams has been coaching cheerleading for 11 years and has coached all-stars, co-ed teams and high school teams. Along with her coaching background, Coach Adams also has extensive dance training and began her dancing career at the age of 3 in Cleveland, Ohio. She has over 20 years of training from many well known choreographers/teachers around the world, including Frank Hatchett, John Crutchman, Alvin Alley, Joel Hall and Mia Michaels, ffrom the hit T.V. show; So You Think You Can Dance . Amber has studied ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical and hip hop and has performed and competed in New York, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame to name a few. She has performed on the Jerry Lewis Telethon, Sesame Street, Star Search, and Dance Chicago and won a dance scholarship from Paula Abdul. Coach Adams was the assistant head coach for the South Forsyth State Winning High School competition cheerleading team. She is a graduate of North Central College in Naperville, IL with a B.S in Elementary Education and currently lives in Cumming with her husband, David and their son Luke. She is very excited to be a part of the Lambert family! |
